Creating ideas with the customer
Designing and brainstorming with the customer is always key to a successful staircase. We guide the customer on what might and may not work, help with the choice of materials and colors, and suggest a schedule.
Initially, we visit the site to take measurements, study the space and consider stair attachment possibilities. On this basis, we can suggest the best solution for the site.
3D images to help you visualize the stairs in the right environment. The 3D images are also reviewed with the customer. With careful planning, we can work together to make your idea unique and functional.
Machining the metal parts
The steel stair frames are manufactured in Finland. All steel parts are surface treated with powder coating. Steel frames are available in all colors of the RAL color chart, but the most popular colors are black, and white.
Step by step
The work continues at the Grado Workshop. The most common raw material for treads is solid wood: birch, ash and oak. The wood is cut to the desired size, sanded, slip grooved and finnished. The steps and handrails are oil waxed to fit other interiors.
Glass railings
Tempered and laminated safety glass is used for the railing material. The glass is strong and safe and the edges are polished for best quality. The glass railings comply with all necessary safety regulations.
Installation and mounting
Once the steel, glass and wood parts are ready, the stairs will be installed and assembled on site. Safety is our top priority. In new projects, construction usually continues after installation, so it is worth protecting the stairs once the installation is complete.
